Service Structure of DDE, S-VYASA

1. Functional Service Structure (FSS) - This structure will carry out the vision and mission of DDE. The Functional Structure will contain the Study Centers and Regional Centers as the building blocks.
2. Support Service Structure (SSS) - This structure will support the Functional Structure achieve its vision and mission. All posts of SSC will be filled by regular DDE staff as additional responsibility to inculcate twin ideals of Seva and Tyaga.

While FSSs will have their own infrastructure, the SSSs use FSS available infrastructure or temporary infrastructure as per their requirements.

SC / RC are the Academic hubs for DDE activities in a city or a locality

Study Centers / Regional Centers Guidelines:

Study Centres to function at least for 20 hours in a week
Study Centres to maintain records pertaining to:
Academic Counsellors and Staff
Students Registered
Counselling Sessions
Assignments Received, Evaluated and Returned
Student Queries
Administration and Finance
Student feedback about the course, delivery, counselor/teacher, facilities, environments, etc.
Schedule of counseling sessions should be sent to learners well in advance
Organization of counseling sessions should be done course wise on holidays, weekends, after office hours
Maximum students attached to a counsellor should not exceed 60 in the case of theory sessions and 20 in practical sessions
Library facility should be available at all Study Centres, Regional Centres and HQs
Study centres should get the assignments evaluated within maximum 6 weeks from the date of receipt and return the evaluated assignments to the learners with appropriate comments, deficiencies and strengths.
Academic counselors should provide regular meaningful feedback to learners through tutor comments
Timely tabulation of grades/marks of assignments which should be dispatched to the HQs
Monitoring of services provided by Study Centres and Regional Centres to the learners through monthly reports, visits by academic staff at least one per semester, etc.

Office Setup:

The SC/RC office should display the DDE area office board outside the office
The SC/RC office should be in a central location with good access from all corners of the city or town
The SC/RC should preferably house a hall large enough to accommodate 30 people practicing yoga techniques at a single time
The SC/RC should have a spacious toilet or a wash room to allow Kriya practices
The SC/RC should have a computer with a web camera and a projection equipment
The SC/RC should have telephone and internet connectivity
The SC/RC should have a Sales Section displaying prominently and sell all Swami Vivekananda Yoga Prakashana (SVYP) publications.
The area office should prominently display information about SVYASA Academic Courses, Arogyadhama Yoga Therapy Courses, SDM Brochures, Brochures about other VYASA activities, etc

Local Core Group:

The Study Centers are the building blocks of the DDE. Each DDE SC will have a Local Core Group as support system which will report. The Local Core Group can form Committees as per requirements and as per availability of resource persons. The Local Core Groups will nominate a Local Representative to the next level of service at the regional Level

Regional Core Group:

A number of Local Core Groups will come together to form a Regional Core Group or the Regional Core Group will consist of members from the Local Core Groups. The Regional Core Group can form Committees as per requirements and as per availability of resource persons. The Regional Core Groups will nominate a Regional Representative to the next level of service at the National Level.

National Core Group:

A number of Regional Core Groups will come together to form a National Core Group or the National Core Group will consist of members from the Regional Core Groups. The National Core Group can form Committees as per requirements and as per availability of resource persons. The National Core Groups will nominate a National Representative to the next level of service at the International Level.

Intenational Core Group:

A number of National Core Groups will come together to form an International Core Group or the International Core Group will consist of members from the National Core Groups. The International Core Group can form Committees as per requirements and as per availability of resource persons.

All Core Groups will report directly to the Directorate through the Nodal Officer
