After completion of DYT student have carrier opportunity has an assistant Yoga Therapist in yoga institute.
Yoga therapist in multi-specialty hospitals, Ayurveda hospitals, naturopathy centers, and SPA.
Has a yoga wellness instructor in various central government sectors such as Ministry of culture and tourism
As a yoga therapist in the district wellness center, they can also have there own yoga center or yoga institute

There will be TWO intakes in each calendar year — January and July. Registration for the course can be done throughout the year and batch is decided on basis of date of registration.
The minimum duration of the course is ONE years and the maximum duration will be TWO years

The candidate should have cleared 12th Std./II PUC/Plus two/12 years of education or equivalent.
The candidate should have completed Yoga Instructor’s Course from S-VYASA or VYASA.

The medium of instruction and examination (theory, practical, internal, & viva-voce) shall be in English.

Phase 1:- Semester one- 1 week PCP (personal contact programmed).
Phase 2:- Semester two- Arogyadhama training – 28days at Prashant kuteeram, Bangalore 560105.*mandatory. Evaluation/Examination PCP 1 week PCP (personal contact programmed)
Phase 3:- externship (30 days).
Total Credits: 42

Time of arrival will be communicated through E-mail only.

1st PCP: 7 days of classes
1st to 7th Jan/July every year we conduct contact programmed for a week. During which course materials, Assignments and Unit Tests will be given. There will be theory+ practical sessions and Arogyadhama orientation.

Phase - 1:
Assignment 1 and Unit Test 1: to be submitted within the first three months.
Assignment 2 and Unit Test 2: to be submitted within the next three months.
After successful submission of the Assignments and Unit Tests, you will be allowed to take Arogyadhama Internship Training.

Phase - 2:
Arogyadhama Internship Training Duration: 28 days.
A total of 40 case reports have to be submitted for successful completion of the training.

2nd PCP: 7 days of Examinations
Second week of Jan/ July is the Examination contact Program for one week.

Phase- 3:
Externship: After the completion of your exam, you are required to provide free voluntary service at a hospital/ clinic for one month. A service certificate, issued by the clinic may be submitted to prove the same.
Following the Externship, you will be awarded the DYT certificate. For any query feel free to write.

Specific Instruction for the Students during they stay on the campus

It is mandatory to stay in the campus during PCP and exams.

No leave is permissible during Personal Contact Program and Arogyadhama training. If any candidate is found absent in any of the sessions, full PCP program will have to be repeated.

What happens next?

Your application will be either rejected or conditionally accepted or accepted.

If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, a rejection email will be sent to you within a week of us receiving the application.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, but if your documentation is not complete, depending upon what document is missing; your application will be either rejected or conditionally accepted. In the latter case you will be requested to supply the missing documents within a week. Your registration can be confirmed only after those documents are submitted. If you fail to produce the documentation, application will be rejected.

Once you have completed the application process, within a week you will receive an auto generated email after the verification process is completed. And you will be allowed to go through the subsequent steps of registration i.e. Payment of fees.

1. By default dormitory accommodation will be given. (dormitory fees is subject to change from time to time).

Other Notes:

Students need to pay the semester fees and download the fees receipt after making the payment
In case if a student is not able to complete the programme due to unavoidable reasons in the current batch, registration will be carried forward to the subsequent batches on payment of the Semester course Fees. The candidate will be allowed to attend two PCPs together with a special permission from the Deputy Director by providing valid proof and reasons for not attending the PCP.
If students are not able to finish the programme within the maximum time of 2 years, their registrations will be cancelled.
In case you have changed your name and is not matching with the certificates, you are requested to submit copy of an name change affidavit.

Eligibility for Passing

For a pass in a theory subject, a candidate shall secure minimum of 50% of the maximum marks prescribed for the theory subject in the University examination.
For a pass in a practical/field training/viva-voce examination, a candidate shall secure a minimum of 50% of the maximum marks prescribed for the University examination in the relevant practical/field training/viva-voce.
For a pass in Project Work, a candidate shall secure a minimum of 50% of the maximum marks prescribed.


Promotion and Eligibility for the Examinations

There shall not be any restriction for promotion from odd semester to even semester, provided the candidate has fulfilled the attendance requirement.

Re-registration Instructions and Fees Structure

The re-registration fees is mandatory only if the student cannot able to finish the M.Sc. in Yoga within the maximum time period of 4 years from the date of admission.
NOTE: The student is allowed to get the extension duration of 1 year, only if a student has attended all the subjects of 1st and 2nd semester exams.
The student is allowed for the duration of 1 year as extension period to complete the M.Sc. in Yoga.
NOTE: If the student fails to complete the course within the extended duration, the admission will be rejected. Interested candidates can rejoin as a new student by taking an admission for the new batch and needs to start the course from the 1st semester.

Admission Criteria and Progression at DDE, S-VYASA

ADMISSIONS AND ELIGIBILITY:

The candidate shall have secured a minimum of 50% of marks in High School and Degree Programmes. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Group I shall be considered eligible for admission if they have passed the qualifications obtaining not less than 40% of marks in aggregate

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT:

Each semester is considered as a unit and the candidate has to put in a minimum attendance of 90% in each subject with a provision of condonation of 10% of the attendance by the Director on the specific recommendation of the Course Coordinators on the reasons such as medical grounds, DDE level sports and cultural activities, academic matters such as seminars, workshops and paper presentations.

The basis for the calculation of the attendance shall be the period prescribed by the DDE according to its calendar of events The students shall be informed about their attendance position periodically so that the students shall be cautioned to make up the shortage.

GRADING SYSTEM:

The student will be assigned a grade in each course based on his or her combined performance in the sessional work and the final examination. Grade distinction and grade point of each grade is as follows:

CREDIT WAIVER/TRANSFER:

Exemption from a Subject
A student seeking exemption from a subject should apply to the Dean of the Department, stating reasons within 3 days of registering for the course.

A student who has applied for exemption of a subject should continue attending the classes for the subject until the result is declared. He/she could discontinue only if exemption is granted.

DROPPING OF SUBJECTS:

A student may in consultation with his or her adviser and instructor, drop a subject on or before 7 days of registering for the courses.

A student may register again whenever the offer in the subsequent semester for that subject which he/she has dropped in a previous term arises.

A student cannot register again, for any subject that he/she has completed and passed, for the purpose of improving the grade in that subject. The possibility of improving a grade arises only when a student fails in a subject and gets a F grade.

PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT:

To achieve the objectives of education, the most important aspect is the assessment and evaluation of the students. SVYASA has evolved a unique and comprehensive way of evaluating the total personality development by a combination of the ancient Gurukula system of evaluation by the Gurus or the teachers and by the measurements of the modern era of science and technology. The students are evaluated by the following tools of assessment:

a. Theoretical comprehension of the subject
b. Achievements in yoga practices
c. Skills of communication
d. Team work performance including the organizational skills
e. Teaching capacities
f. Research attitudes and skills
g. Transformation of the personality and
h. Development of the zeal for selfless service, national awareness and spiritual growth

These will be used for giving the grades of the personality assessment of the students. Assessment of the personality is done by recording the changes based on scientific measurements, assessments by the faculty, their team-work performances, self-assessments, attendance, regularity and steadiness, etc. There is continuous monitoring of their growth.

Important Instructions for Overseas Students

Nearly all foreign nationals, on long term visas and foreign nationals from certain countries on any visa are subject to registration in India as provided by the Registration of Foreigners Act, 1939 and Registration of Foreigners Rules, 1992. Foreign nationals entering India on a Student, Employment, Research or Missionary visa, which is valid for more than 180 days, are required to register with the Foreigners Regional Registration Officers (FRROs) under whose jurisdiction they propose to stay. This should be done within 14 days of arrival in India, irrespective of their actual period of stay.
The expenditure for the registration will be borne by foreign nationals.
